In true Joydee fashion I fell head over heels deeply in love with a late 1930's bungalow that came up for sale not far from where we already live. It was safe to say I was a goner. Fortunately Mr Whoa Nelly was bitten by the same love bug and in the space of a week we had a contract, our house was on the market, we had the first Open House and we are now sold. I'm crediting our swift and successful sale to several things, living in a great suburb (Holland Park represent!!), being the lucky owners of a very pretty 1950's home that anyone would be proud to call their own and last but definitely not least...this whole transaction has been overseen by the most professional, knowledgable and expert Real Estate Agent I have ever met.
Here are some of the pics of our house that went online as part of the marketing. The photographer did a fantastic job. Photo credit to Studiolane Photography.
We haven't gone unconditional on the contracts yet but all is on track for a move in early December. The sorting and decluttering has begun. And of course, the design concept for our new home is well underway. That's a whole other post!!
I can't wait to share the journey of designing our new home. Watch this space.
PS: That brown lounge...bleh! Maybe I can arrange for it to fall off the back of the moving truck.
Well, you still have homework, you just have it somewhere else. :) I definitely think that the new owners of your house have found a gem. And I look forward to your posts about the new house! (Now... how are you gonna get that bath out?)
ReplyDeleteGood location, a fine-looking home to boast, coupled with a great real estate agent, will surely be a killer combination when it comes to selling your property. I can feel your excitement, Joydee! Selling your house quickly, then be able to schedule the move to the new house right after, must be one of the most exciting pace in your life. Congratulations, and good luck!
